Make Feathers McGraw cupcake topper

Purchased a saracino modelling paste starter kit?  Here's how to make Feathers McGraw - a Penguin in disguise as a chicken.

Here is the step by step summary guide, and a video that you can follow along Ben showing you how.

  • Step 1: Pinch a small amount from body ball for eyes.

  • Step 2: Shape the neck and body.

  • Step 3: Structure the belly and attach.

  • Step 4: Form the wings and stick on.

  • Step 5: Create the legs and squish underneath body.

  • Step 6: Construct the beak and affix to head.

  • Step 7: Place the eyes to make the Penguin come to life.

  • Step 8: Give Feathers his disguise (add the hat).

  • Step 9: Congratulate yourself on creating a character

We are very excited about the new upcoming Wallace and Gromit film launching on BBC1 on Christmas Day 2024. Featuring now in our cake gallery display window, is a large cake of Feather McGraw their arch enemy the evil penguin, that we have created to celebrate it.

To share the excitement we have created a kit with everything needed to make your own edible cake topper of Feathers McGraw. The kit includes tools, brush and all the measured amounts of modelling paste that you would need.

It’s the perfect gift or stocking filler for children or anyone who is vaguely creative. Great for entertaining children in that Christmas to new year lull (once they’ve seen the movie). Or have a go yourself.

Please Note: Wallace and Gromit and Feathers McGraw are copyright of Aardman Animations. Hand Crafted Cupcakes are not affiliated with Aardman - we are just superfans of Wallace and Gromit and want to encourage everyone to enjoy the film.
